The Morouj Silos Project in Port Sudan represents a strategic investment in the region’s infrastructure, designed to stabilize and enhance the food supply chain. Located at the Green Port in Port Sudan city, this facility acts as a critical hub for large-scale food commodity management.
Project Specifications & Logistics
Infrastructure Scale: The facility spans a total area of 20,000 m2
Storage Capacity: Currently, nine existing silos provide a storage capacity of 60,000 MT.
Future Expansion: The site includes provisions to erect additional silos, which will add 45,000 MT of capacity.
Operational Efficiency: The project utilizes ship unloaders capable of a discharge capacity of 15,000 t/h.
Timeline: Testing and commissioning were scheduled for February 15, 2024, with commercial operations beginning on March 10, 2024
