Electrical & Instrumentation Manager

Lead Morouj’s Electrical and Instrumentation function, ensuring reliable, efficient electrical, automation, and control systems. You will direct maintenance strategy, develop the team, manage costs, and drive improvements in plant reliability, energy efficiency, and safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Electrical and Instrumentation maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead and manage all electrical, instrumentation, automation, and control system activities across the plant.
  • Ensure maximum equipment reliability and minimum downtime through effective preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Oversee troubleshooting and root cause analysis for major electrical and instrumentation failures.
  • Plan and manage plant shutdowns, preventive maintenance schedules, and emergency breakdown activities.
  • Monitor the performance and efficiency of electrical systems, motors, drives, PLCs, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Review and approve technical specifications for new projects, upgrades, and equipment installations.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards, electrical regulations, and company operational procedures.
  • Manage department budgets, maintenance costs, and spare parts inventory to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Coordinate with Production and other departments to support uninterrupted plant operations.
  • Supervise contractors and external service providers during maintenance and project activities.
  • Evaluate and improve maintenance KPIs, reliability performance, and energy consumption.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to automation, energy efficiency, and operational reliability.
  • Ensure calibration, testing, and inspection of protection systems and critical instrumentation equipment.
  • Prepare technical reports, maintenance analysis, and management presentations.
  • Develop team capabilities through coaching, training, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Support company expansion projects and plant modification initiatives.
  • Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and security of all company information assets under assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Electrical and Instrumentation maintenance within industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Minimum 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Experience in FMCG, processing plants, manufacturing, or industrial operations is preferred.
