Utility Team Leader
Lead the operation and maintenance of utility systems to deliver a reliable, efficient supply for plant operations. You will coordinate the team’s work across hot water, water treatment, boilers, power and nitrogen generators, air conditioning, and utility consumption monitoring.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of utility equipment and systems.
- Ensure the reliable and continuous operation of hot water systems, water treatment units, boilers, power generators, nitrogen generators, air conditioning systems, and related utility equipment.
- Monitor utility consumption, identify abnormal usage, and recommend measures to improve efficiency and control operating costs.
- Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for utility equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and coordinate timely corrective actions to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for reliability, efficiency, and performance improvement.
- Ensure proper inspection, testing, calibration, and operational checks of utility systems and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of utility equipment performance, maintenance activities, breakdowns, and consumption.
- Monitor availability and requirements of spare parts, tools, consumables, and other resources necessary for utility operations and maintenance.
- Ensure utility systems are operated in accordance with approved procedures, technical standards, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HSE, and other relevant departments to resolve utility-related issues and support plant requirements.
- Support the planning and execution of utility-related projects, modifications, upgrades, and improvement initiatives.
- Identify operational risks, equipment hazards, and potential failures and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and report utility performance, consumption, downtime, maintenance activities, and relevant KPIs.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of utility activities and equipment status.
- Support investigations and root cause analysis of major utility equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, environmental standards, and applicable technical procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to utility team members and ensure effective coordination of assigned activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Technical Manager.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in utility operations, maintenance, or engineering within a private-sector organization, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, FMCG, or processing environment.
