You will troubleshoot faults, support Operations and Maintenance, and improve system reliability, while contributing engineering designs, technical analyses, safety evaluations, drawings, cost estimates, and schedules for plant upgrades and modifications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> Khartoum North (Bahri)<br \/><strong>Job type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:careers@morouj.com?subject=Electrical%20%26%20Instrumentation%20Engineer\" class=\"morouj-apply\">Apply by email<\/a> \u00b7 <a href=\"https:\/\/morouj.com\/ar\/work-at-morouj\/\">View all vacancies<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Key responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Troubleshoot, modify, and maintain electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation systems, including PLC and DCS systems.<\/li>\n<li>Diagnose and resolve plant electrical, instrumentation, process control, and automation equipment issues.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement equipment modifications and instrumentation specifications for process applications and equipment replacements.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and update plant instrumentation and equipment databases and technical documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Read, prepare, and update electrical schematics, instrument loop diagrams, and P&amp;IDs.<\/li>\n<li>Support the development of User Requirement Specifications, Functional Specifications, Design Specifications, and related technical documentation for engineering projects.<\/li>\n<li>Support hazard analysis, safety evaluations, and safety instrumented systems activities related to E&amp;I systems.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support for capital expenditure and maintenance projects, including plant modifications, upgrades, and retrofits.<\/li>\n<li>Develop, maintain, and execute predictive and preventive maintenance activities for electrical and instrumentation equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and update preventive maintenance instructions, procedures, and checklists based on equipment performance and operational requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Determine and monitor spare parts, tools, and consumables requirements for electrical and instrumentation equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain plant electrical and instrumentation standards and technical specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct testing, calibration, inspection, and commissioning of electrical instrumentation, control, and protection systems.<\/li>\n<li>Support root cause analysis of major electrical and instrumentation failures and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure effective execution of assigned activities.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support during shutdowns, breakdowns, and off-shift operations as required.<\/li>\n<li>Support corrective actions related to safety, CAPA, and Change Control activities within the assigned area.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor equipment performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, efficiency, and system performance.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the quality, accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness of maintenance reports and KPI monitoring.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with company safety standards, procedures, environmental requirements, and applicable technical standards.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of information assets within the assigned responsibilities in accordance with the company&#8217;s Information Security Policies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications and experience<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 2\u20134 years of relevant experience in Electrical &amp; Instrumentation Engineering or maintenance within an industrial, manufacturing, FMCG, or processing environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Skills and competencies<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Effective troubleshooting and decision-making abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Good technical communication and reporting skills in Arabic and English.<\/li>\n<li>Good planning, organization, and time-management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and other stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Strong teamwork and coordination skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail and commitment to technical accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to urgent technical issues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>About Morouj<\/h2>\n<p>Founded in 2005, Morouj is a Sudanese agribusiness working across crop sourcing, processing, packaging, and export logistics.
