You will coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, guide troubleshooting, manage work schedules, and improve equipment reliability while reducing downtime.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> Khartoum North (Bahri)<br \/><strong>Job type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:careers@morouj.com?subject=Maintenance%20Team%20Leader\" class=\"morouj-apply\">Apply by email<\/a> \u00b7 <a href=\"https:\/\/morouj.com\/ar\/work-at-morouj\/\">View all vacancies<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Key responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities and ensure effective execution of planned and corrective maintenance work.<\/li>\n<li>Lead the maintenance team in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment remains in safe and reliable operating condition.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure planned maintenance work orders are completed accurately and on time.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and facilities to identify defects, abnormal conditions, and potential failures.<\/li>\n<li>Assign maintenance tasks to team members according to priorities, technical requirements, and available resources.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance team members during troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance activities.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate repair and installation activities and follow up on their progress and completion.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor equipment performance, recurring failures, downtime, and maintenance requirements, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.<\/li>\n<li>Support the implementation of maintenance procedures, standards, and best practices to improve equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with approved safety policies, procedures, and technical requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the availability of spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials and coordinate requirements with the relevant departments.<\/li>\n<li>Review maintenance cost estimates and support the evaluation of required resources for repair and maintenance activities.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, equipment history, and daily maintenance logs.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and submit maintenance progress reports and relevant KPI information to the Maintenance Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Support root cause analysis of major equipment failures and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, HSE, Procurement, and other relevant departments to resolve maintenance-related issues.<\/li>\n<li>Support the improvement of maintenance practices, equipment reliability, mean time between failures, and reduction of equipment downtime.<\/li>\n<li>Coach and guide maintenance team members and contribute to their technical development and performance.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of information assets within assigned responsibilities in accordance with the company&#8217;s Information Security Policies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications and experience<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in maintenance, including experience in a supervisory or team-lead role within an industrial, manufacturing, FMCG, or processing environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Skills and competencies<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong technical expertise in maintenance operations and equipment reliability.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Effective leadership and team coordination skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational capabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Sound judgment and decision-making in maintenance and operational matters.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage maintenance activities effectively under pressure and during critical breakdowns.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, coordination, and technical reporting skills in Arabic and English.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to provide technical guidance, coaching, and support to maintenance team members.<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across functions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>About Morouj<\/h2>\n<p>Founded in 2005, Morouj is a Sudanese agribusiness working across crop sourcing, processing, packaging, and export logistics.
