Your work will cover boilers, chillers, water treatment, hot water, power and nitrogen generators, compressed air, air conditioning, and utility consumption monitoring.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> Khartoum North (Bahri)<br \/><strong>Job type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:careers@morouj.com?subject=Utility%20Engineer\" class=\"morouj-apply\">Apply by email<\/a> \u00b7 <a href=\"https:\/\/morouj.com\/ar\/work-at-morouj\/\">View all vacancies<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Key responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair utility systems and equipment, including boiler and chiller plant systems.<\/li>\n<li>Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on utility equipment and systems, including required lubrication activities.<\/li>\n<li>Perform water and chemical tests, determine appropriate chemical feed rates, and adjust rates as required.<\/li>\n<li>Inspect equipment, piping, valves, and controls for leaks, abnormalities, and operational issues.<\/li>\n<li>Clean and maintain mechanical components and utility equipment as required.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor utility systems, including chillers, boilers, IO systems, air compressors, water softeners, and other related systems and components.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct routine rounds and maintain accurate log sheets for boiler, chiller, and other utility systems.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor utility consumption and report abnormal usage or significant variations to the Utility Team Leader.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure critical preventive maintenance work orders are completed within the required timelines.<\/li>\n<li>Perform inspections, testing, and operational checks of utility equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and support the operation of emergency generators during power outages.<\/li>\n<li>Identify equipment abnormalities and support troubleshooting and corrective actions to minimize downtime.<\/li>\n<li>Support the implementation of preventive and corrective actions arising from equipment failures, inspections, and maintenance activities.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance requirements, recurring failures, and potential improvement opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, utility consumption, and operational readings.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with the Utility Team Leader and relevant departments regarding utility requirements, equipment issues, and maintenance activities.<\/li>\n<li>Support utility-related modifications, improvements, testing, and commissioning activities as required.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare accurate and timely utility reports and contribute to relevant KPI monitoring.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with approved utility procedures, safety requirements, environmental standards, and technical guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of information assets within assigned responsibilities in accordance with the company&#8217;s Information Security Policies.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other related duties as assigned by the Utility Team Leader or Technical Manager.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications and experience<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in utility operations, maintenance, or engineering within a private-sector organization, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, FMCG, or processing environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Skills and competencies<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Good attention to detail and technical accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Good planning, organizing, and time-management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to diagnose equipment problems and apply appropriate technical solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to equipment breakdowns and operational issues.<\/li>\n<li>Good communication and technical reporting skills in Arabic and English.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and HSE teams.<\/li>\n<li>Good teamwork, coordination, and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to follow established procedures and safety requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>About Morouj<\/h2>\n<p>Founded in 2005, Morouj is a Sudanese agribusiness working across crop sourcing, processing, packaging, and export logistics.
